Black means hot white signifies neutral and green indicates ground. The easiest and safest way is to use a multimeter to test for current.
Light Switch Has 2 Hot Wires
3 black wires light switch. Hook the black wire to the bottom terminal on the switch. Two black wires are going directly into the quick connects.
