3 Link Vs 4 Link Suspension
William M. Grant
They are simple to a fault. All too often track bars are made out to be an enemy and thats just not the case.
Toyota 4 Link Kit
3 link vs 4 link suspension.
A three link could go either way but if you want to keep a steering box you need to go three link with a panhard.
And do some reading about the geometry for them.
Either will flex just fine if designed properly.
Still the same old story 3 link if you want to do corners 4 link if you want to point it straight.
Triangulated front 4 link pretty much means your going full hydro.
A 4 link suspension is geared for adjustability.
Most guys dont need that much adjustability.
A 3 link will be fine just gotta make sure its really stout for the upper link and mounts.
Theres no better method to setting the roll center height and keeping an axle laterally constrained than a track bar period.
3 link rears are very cool and if executed correctly will perform even better than a triangulated 4 link.
And to get that you need some tall brackets.
Obviously it also depends on what you can fit under the vehicle.
