We have always used rain x on our car windshields and have had great success but you could never use it on plexiglass or other plastics like motorcycle visors and airplane windshields because it would make it brittle and potentially hazy. Avoid using rainx original glass water repellent on any plastic surfaces including motorcycle windshields atvs and solar panels i fear if you did this it will damage the windshield by making it cloudy or discolored. It helps to keep the exterior of my boat clean and repells the water when i am boating. The rain x not only leaves it nice and clean but is very good and leaving it waterproof.
